Bed and Breakfast Catania

In Sicily, you will find the best solution to the grey skies and unsatisfactory temperatures of more recent UK summers. The multiple lemon, olive and orange groves fill the atmosphere with vibrant colors and scents, which enliven the senses and taste sensations, especially when included in the delicious local cuisine. Sea food dishes and decorated pastries, such as the cassata siciliana, are traditional here. Bed and breakfast Sicilia is famous all over the world. It offers luxurious facilities at very affordable rates.

For those travelling to the island’s east coast and landing in Catania’s Airport, there are so many places to visit and experience. Flights to Catania depart from Gatwick Airport and open routes are offered by Air Malta, Thomson Flights and British Airways. Generally, travellers bypass Catania, and use it only as a point of entrance. It is a shame not to visit Catania, as it is a city filled with culture, and home to an amazing variety of historical treasures.

Most people traveling around the region opt to rent a car at the airport, as this permits them the freedom to take in the full region and set their own itinerary. A 50 minute drive north from Catania is Taormina, a beautiful hillside town which provides some of the most remarkable views down over the Ionian Sea and out to Mount Etna. There are plenty of places to see in Taormina, such as: the Arabian necropolis, Palazzo Duca di S.Stefano, and Teatro Greco. Don’t miss out on the shopping on the central Corso Umberto, and the amazing beaches accessible by cable car or through the regular shuttle buses that run from the hotels. Activities in the area include everything from scuba diving to tennis.

B&B Catania facilities are world standard. You can enjoy cost-friendly and luxurious experiences too. In Castelmola, a small village in the hills above Taormina, there is the chance to sample the town’s popular almond-wine and admire beautiful embroidery works. The views from there are utterly remarkable: narrow streets embedded in amazing architecture. Those who suffer from arthritis, skin complaints, or respiratory issues or who just want a chance to pamper themselves, should visit the Ali Terme mud and water collection, boric acid, rich in sulphur, and sodium bromide among other things.
